Ibis Styles Castelnaudary

Great place for an overnight stop on our way to Spain. This was our second stay but it was spoiled by the noise of constant music from the pool area that we heard in our room. By 00h20 I had reason to call reception. They immediately turned it off but then I was rudely wakened at 06h45. Same music was in the ladies restrooms. Not everyone wants music permanent playing. My other gripe is I booked half board but it’s not printed anywhere how much the value is on your evening meal or told by the waitress. This I only found out at check out when I was presented with a bill. On the whole we like this hotel. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. Yes we will stay here again but ensure we have a bedroom away from the pool area!

Superb overnight Great hotel to stay (a few days): The atmosphere was good, very friendly staff, a cosy bar with nice beers and wines, the food in the restaurant was great and the swimming pool next to the terrace is fabulous. We will go back!

For us, a perfect stopover location on our road trip. Only opened a few years ago, and in perfect condition. Even if you’re not a rugby / sports fan, you cannot fail to be impressed with the way rugby is imprinted in the DNA of the hotel; the sound of the Haka in the All Blacks themed lift is a great touch, and the rugby sculptures outside are wonderful. And the Twickenham themed bar / restaurant adds to the atmosphere; after dinner we enjoyed watching Toulouse thrash Stade Francais on the big screen in the viewing room.

Lovely hotel based on a rugby theme, loads of memorabilia.. large spacious room, large comfy bed, fantastic powerful shower, great restaurant with a good choice of meals. Only gripe as with all Ibis hotels no way of making a coffee in your room, only a water cooler in reception, not even any paper cups in your room. Just be aware it’s not in Castelnaudary it’s just off the autoroute, but that wasn’t an issue for us, in fact it was so good we are staying again in two weeks time !
